I try to cover the most common questions that I am asked below. If the answer you are looking for is not here, please get in touch where I will be more than happy to divulge further!

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

I have been a full time wedding photographer 8 years now, before that I worked part time in Manchester whilst running my wedding photography business along side. I have shot over 250 weddings both here in the UK and Europe.

What camera do you use?

I am a Canon user. I shoot primarily on a Canon R6 mirrorless system and I use prime lenses. I have a second camera which is my backup camera and that is a Canon 5D . I edit all my images on Apple mac or iPad. I also use the latest version of Photoshop through my Adobe Creative Cloud. All my computers sync which gives me freedom to edit anywhere.

Editing style!

Over the years I have worked on my editing style and I have found I love natural skin tones, bright and vibrant colours which look natural, with warmth and contrast. I shoot underexposed slightly so that I can get nice crisp shots that include movement in my images.
if my editing style isn’t what you like, maybe I’m not the photographer for you, and you would be best finding a photographer that suits your style.

How many photos will we get for our final gallery?

All my full day weddings will receive at least 500 fully edited images. I shoot the story of your wedding in a documentary style, and for this reason the number of images you will get will likely be higher than 500. It sounds a lot but it really will tell the full story of your day. I send you both a private online gallery, for you to view your story, you can share this with friends and family. I will also deliver a USB with your images uploaded and ready to print.

Do we get a few images after the wedding to share?

Yes. Up to 48 hours after your wedding I will send you both a few sneak peaks from the day. The remaining images can take between 8-12 weeks to be fully edited, especially in high season which is April through to October.

  We used Jo for our wedding. She was amazing and very professional. I loved how she came to tell me my grandma was leaving soon and I'd not had a photo with her yet! When the day is so busy, these little things are very important.

  Jo stepped in to cover our wedding after our first photographer cancelled last minute. We both agree the cancellation was a blessing in disguise as Jo was fantastic from start to end. Top quality photography, a real professional with bucket loads of fun thrown in. Jo blended in seamlessly for candid photos of our guests and pulled us away at the right moments to capture perfect couple shots whilst the weather was on our side!

  We chose Jo to do our pre wedding shoot and wedding photography, and she did not disappoint! Both sets of photographs are insanely gorgeous, and not only do we love them, but our family have all commented on how well our day has been captured.
